A Day in the Life of a Fancy Dress Shop

Today I set up and took down a window display, sorted out costumes, re-packaged stock and created banners. Good day here again.

Today I have done more merchandising and have served customers with ballons. I have also done general shop keeping duties, finally I have done some modeling of balloons which I enjoyed. Once again looking forward to tomorrow.

Today I did merchandising, cleaning and pricing items. It was another good day here, I learnt a new skill of using a pricing gun and briefly learnt how to use a till. I hope tomorrow is the same.

Nice start to the week. I helped customers and did lots of things to do with ballons using machines and ribbons I also did a few general shop keeping duties. Today I have blown up and completed lots of ballon making tasks. I have had a good day at Haveaballon and look forward to the rest of the week

I’ve had an great three days. I’ve learnt alot of new things like serving customers work and blowing up the balloons aswell a pricing and sorting merchandise out. I dont think there is much else to learn it’s more about putting it to practice and getting it right. Tomorrow might be different with the teacher coming or maybe not. It would be good putting things into more depth practicing like serving customers ect… Already did pricing and half way through sorting out the merchandise. Just getting the giff of where everything is to point out to the customers when i can………..Just wait and see….. What to do tomorrow/ Needs to be done.

Productive day! Learnt some new skills e.g banner printing. Also used skills I already have e.g computers. I think there are still skills I should develope on e.g ribbon curling. This will help me with serving cutomers who require balloons.
I did get to print of a banner and learn how to create one. Curled ribbons for the ballon weights and used the computer to sort out files. Settling in is good and made good cups of tea.

Now that Halloween is over, it’s time to focus on New Year and Christmas. We have loads of outfits available with a whole selection of fresh product lines available. We now have an A-Z Fancy Dress Costumes listing for those of you who have been given a letter as a theme.

This is Karla. Today I started my 3rd week at Haveaballoon. I’m starting to get familiar the the working of the shop and can now cover various duties without supervision. Today I prepared a balloon job for the 21st and served cutomers returning costumes. I am feeling more confident with the workings of the till and I’m enjoying developing my shop skills
